The inspiration for this aesthetic comes from the night salons of the 1920s, when lingerie began to emerge from hiding and develop its own language. Instead of heavy decoration, there is lightness, linearity and a contrast that works almost architecturally. Ecru softens the composition, while black lace introduces a rhythm familiar from Paris ateliers and Art Nouveau ornament.
